A Day at the Con!

Sorry that i haven’t been vary active online much. Just trying to recover from Oro-Con I when to. if you fallow me on Facebook you know that i been planing this for month and that i been hard at working on stuff for this con and a comic. (that not out or finished yet) It was an outdoor con set up with large canopies and industrial box fans to keep us cooled off and i tell you, those fans did'nt keep me cooled off. The cosplayer dressed as Batman with his mini quad Batmobile sat next to my booth right in front of the one of the industrial box fans. I must say after awhile of dealing with the heat, i began to really envy the guy and even at times just stood in front of his booth just to get some of that cool air.

At my booth I sold buttons, prints and bookmakers all with my art on them as well as my sisters crochet plushy of Pokemon’s that sold well. I often had to keep a close eye on the plushy’s because young unsupervised children often quickly snatched them plushy’s off the grid wall display shelf and go running to there parents begging them to buy one for them or randomly picking up the crochet poke balls and throwing them into the display shelf, causing them to bounce and knock over the other plushy. (Note to self: built higher grid walls.) I felt sorry for the one girl who wanted the Pikachu but we sold out and cried cus her sister got the last one. Then I found one in the box and my nephew (Who was at my booth trying to get out of the sun helping my brother with the mini 4WD track) tried to find but it was too late. poor thing.

The heat was god awful. Around one or two a clock was when it got really bad. Now i had water in full sock at my booth and i was chugging it when i can. but i kept feeling like i was going to throw up any minute (but i didn’t). the other booth next to me gave me an apple seance all i had was a sausage egg mcmuffin in the morning. I tried to keep a smile on my face and try'ed not to look like i didn’t wanted to be bothered but the heat made that difficult. A teenager and what looked like his mother came over to my booth and talked to me a bet and acting playful making finger guns at me and shouting “PEW PEW PEW PEW!!!” I didn’t understand at first and then remembered that i had on my pew pew laser shirt on. I’d LOL a bet and said i forgot i was wearing this today. he made more small talked then left. I wasn’t in a playful mood (cus the heat) and worried that i looked more annoyed to hem after he left. SO Dude if your reading this next time i see you at the con id totally would shoot finger guns with you… Why dose everything like a euphemism.

Anyway! To the guy who said he loved how i portray different art styles and that i gave some advice too, i just want to say i think your awesome, and i hope to see you next year! And a thank you to Matt the creator of Rabbit-Walrus and Sadocat for the chat and advice on getting my stuff printed as well as buying a button from me. Your awesome and hope to see you again soon. also thank you to everyone who came over i think your all awesome and cool and i hope to see you again next time.

Now there at the end of this journal. what now for Foxy. what will i do tell next time… well. I need to figure stuff out. like how to brand myself and the direction i want to go with my art. I feel as if im just stalling, adrift. Just posting for the sack of posting. I feel like i can do better for you guys, and want to do better for you all. To really bring my work to life. Well all seen my OC’s but. We don’t really know anything about them do we? well i know them. but most people only see just see a pretty picture. I don’t know… its something i want to work on… Well i hope to see you guys next year. Id like to do the Yuba-comic con and the good old Sac Con in the future. i also hope to get more comic pages out to you real soon.

By Foxy…

PS. feel free to give criticism to my writing/art. it helps me. :3
